The Press Association of Supreme Court (PAS) on Friday elected a new cabinet to run its helm of affairs for the year 2021 with Amjad Nazir Bhatti of Public TV as President.
Election commission comprising Allahdad Siddiqui and Sajjad Haider declared the result after voting. PAS is an organization of reporters deputed to cover regularly top court’s proceedings for various TV channels, newspapers, and news agencies. The PAS also elected Raja Mohsin Ijaz of Dunya TV as General Secretary, Haseeb Bhatti of Dawn News as Vice-President, Azim Gul of Nawa-e-Waqat as Finance Secretary,
Abdul Raoof Bazmi of Daily Rahbar as Information Secretary. Besides the voters elected three Governing body members including Syed Qamber Zaidi of GTV News, Abrar Hussain Astori of Roze TV and Ayaz Khan of Khyber TV. Members of the PAS expressed hope that the newly elected body will consume all its energies in strengthening values in court reporting.
